Adam's Two Wives

Adam's Two Wives
clay    Half life-size

mixed media: Clay & glass

In some of the biblical mythology God made Lillith before he made Adam. It was the time he was making all the critters. Was God trying a rough draft of the human form? That makes her being half serpent not such a stretch. So here she has this totaly innocent kid Eve— a newborn twenty-something — and wants to hip her to what is really what. She is offering the apple from the Tree Of Knowledge of Good and Evil. What if Good is all the pleasure a human can have —especially sexual? What if Evil is anything that get’s in the way of that Good?
